There are many blogging platforms, both paid and free, but the
ordinarily used ones are Blogger and Wordpress.Blogging is a cheap and easy way
for people who don't know how to build their own website to start making easy money
online.Blogger and WordPress are the two
most popular blogging platforms on the Internet. But I bet it’s because Blogger
is owned by Google so it’s almost everywhere.
In this following post we are just
comparing Wordpress and Blogger , we are not forcing any of you people to
either go with Wordpress or Blogger. Read the post and make your opinion.
Full details about :
1)Blogger
2)Wordpress (Wordpress.com vs Wordpress.org), if u know about both of them then no need to
read both these articles.
Wordpress is more powerful blogging platform
- I think WordPress blogs seem to look more professional and cool as compared to Blogger. This may be because WordPress is supported by thousands of developers. There are thousands of skins, themes, plug-ins and stuff available in wordpress.
- Wordpress has two setups. Wordpress.com(free version) lacks far behind blogger. But the self-hosted wordpress (i.e. wordpress.org) enables you with complete command and control to configure things.
- Wordpress.org for this very reason is Programmers' first choice. If you have resources and the potential to spend bucks to hire a developer who could configure and maintain your site, then wordpress.org is your best option without any doubts.
Blogger is very user friendly
- For a beginner the most essential factor that a blogging platform should offer is the easiness of use, means a simple interface is required. Blogger has a simple and easy interface as it mainly aims at novice bloggers but in the case of wordpress it is somewhat difficult to use when compared to a blogger interface where as Wordpress's post editor is kind of a mess.
- Google owns blogger and hence applies its policies to it. One of the biggest advantages with blogger is that you’ll take hardly 10 minutes to setup a blog with Blogspot.com account. It is very easy to use and maintain. If you are done with setting your blogger account you can start posting immediately.
- Domain name with blogger account is always like “yourblogname.blogspot.in” by default (depending upon your country ‘.in’ will be changed). But blogger gives you to choose your own domain name for $10 per year and connect your blogger account with your personalized domain name. The biggest advantage of this is you do not need to bother about blog hosting cost.
How to choose one of them
- As we know Blogger is 100% free. Most Internet marketers suggests that you should start a free blog with blogger to familiarize yourself to various aspects like posting, widgets, applications, and many others. Once you learned a lot, you can switch from blogger to WordPress anytime through WordPress Import feature. If you think this way, you will not realize the importance of Blogger as a platform and it will just remain a training ground on your perspectives. As a free platform, Blogger is totally easy to use to all novice and first time users. But unlike self-hosted WordPress, it highly requires technical knowledge with regards to hosting , servers and other tools, not to mention the expenditures that you will spend for each set-up.
- Second, think of Your Budget? – As with most things in life, blog platforms come with a variety of price points ranging from free through to more expensive options. There are three main things that you might pay for:
2)Hosting for your blog
3)Domain Name
Different blogging platforms offer different levels of
service. Some like Blogger.com and WordPress.com offer both the platform,
domain name and hosting for free. Others like WordPress.org (note this is
different to WordPress.com) offer the platform for free but you then need to
find and pay for your own hosting and domain name.
We conclude-We recommend
Blogger for beginners and WordPress for professionals
